Christine has been very interested in building a social network for people who wished to date other people, across the world. She wanted to design a dating website that communicated feelings of love and romance and also one that was easy-to-use and comfortable for the users. Christine had already worked with Pegasus InfoCorp on website development in the past and had been very satisfied with our work. Without hesitation, she approached Pegasus InfoCorp again for designing and developing the new dating site that she had in mind.
For the dating site, the client wanted a completely different and neat look that would be appealing and attractive; and at the same time user-friendly with a simple navigational structure. The client had many ideas in mind for the site and preferred to start off with a scope development project to analyze and document her requirements. After several discussions with the client on the different requirements, a detailed scope document was developed by the team at Pegasus InfoCorp, based on which the social networking website development process began.
Pegasus InfoCorp built several features for the dating website such as member registrations and profiling, friends’ lists management, complete private messaging systems (PMS) for the members, live chat for members etc. The site also included most of the typical social networking features for users such as sending ‘winks’, posting comments, advanced search features etc. Some of the more unique features included sending gifts online, 360° compatibility tests for users, verification and background checks for users, videos uploading facility etc.
For the dating site, the client preferred the Microsoft ASP.NET platform with SQL server as the backend database. Pegasus InfoCorp also used Flash extensively for the certain sections of the site such as background of the home page, for making the site visually appealing and attractive for the users.
The client was very happy with the overall experience and outcome of the project.
